It is quite lengthy with the warm up and cool down but you can do each section in 20 mins so maybe pick a section to do with the warm up and cool down - which means you'll do some every day. That's what I hope to do ...... watch this space!

Great fun workout!

Fab and Funky Fitness DVD
I love this new fitness DVD from Maxine Jones. It is in 3 - 20 min sections which is great, either you can do the whole lot, or you can chose to do whatever you like if short of time. The music is fantastic. Very up to date. I found, once I had done the DVD a few times, very easy to follow. Would recommend to anyone (like me) who is wishing to lose a few pounds. It's a fab and funky DVD!

Sorry Lorraine...
I'm sorry, I feel like I'm letting Lorraine down by saying this, but I get bored half way through. Most people choose this dvd because they like Lorraine Kelly, as did I. I almost feel she's not even there for moral support. She is telling you, "trust this instructor, this is what she did for me". I've done this dvd twice now, and this is what I can say about it: Negatives: -I heard it was all 90's songs, its not. A lot of them are ones you have forgotten, but aren't happy they've been resurrected. I got excited when they played 'moves like jagger', but that was the most exciting song. -The moves aren't very exciting. Its very repetitive, I think that's why I keep turning it off early. -Most of the moves are using your arms, with very little leg work. There is a lot of work on your waist, using your arms. -The dvd is too long, most exercise classes are an hour, including the warm up and down, this I think was an hour and 20. -I own a couple of Davina exercise dvds, and Davina feels a lot more friendlier, like she's in the same boat as you, giving you moral support. Better than the only thing we get from Lorraine, which is 'that was so much fun' at the end of each workout. Positives: -Every time I have done it, I have got a stitch, so it shows its working. -On the 2 times I have done it, I felt if I kept going, doing it once or twice a week I would eventually reach Lorraine's size. -The instructor is very friendly and nice. Some people have said how annoying it is for her to say 'oh my god' so many times, but I've barely noticed. -There is an option to mute her instructions and just watch and listen to the music. This feature was really good. Other things to mention: -She has a 20 minute talk at the end with the instructor, saying how to cope, which was nice. However, I would have liked subtitles here (I have a toddler), but there were none. -The dvd felt more like you were at an exercise class than any other dvd I have done. So, in conclusion, if you want to lose weight, this works. Just hope you'll like the music!

Fantastic fun! There is hope!
Have really really enJoyed the DVD.i think Lorraine Kelly is an absolute inspiration at the age of 56 years I will be 50 years old this summer and now I want to find a dance/aerobics class like this DVD.. I love the instructor too Maxine Jones she is such fun to listen to and so encouraging while you are exercising.she knows what exercises will really get you! Wish I could join her class. I just feel so inspired and smile. There is hope for middle aged women too! Not just the young participants in the DVD.

Not the right dvd for me
I so wanted to love this dvd because I felt it was time for a change from my Davina dvds but I was so disappointed. Yes this dvd is fun and cheerful (perhaps a bit too cheerful) and easy to follow if only I could see the moves! The camera constantly focuses on the upper part of the instructor's body when the movement is in the lower part. It is as if she is aware of this because many a time she advises you to improvise. I have tried all three workouts - the same problem all through. I will give it another try especially the third section because the squats really feel like working however perhaps not every day. On most days I will go back to Davina and her great workouts.

Good fun with up to date music that you will actually recognise!!
Great DVD, so much fun. It is a little confusing at some points but once you've done it once or twice you get the hang of it! Like the other reviews the only point id make it the 'oh my god' comments quite frequently. If you ignore that aspect its good fun with up to date music that you will actually recognise. With not being the fittest of people ive found it challenging but FUN. Would recommend....
