Any reason why they couldn't go in the dishwasher?

If they are tinted, do not put them in the dishwasher. The color peels off in a sheet. I can’t speak for clear ones.

Is it possible to purchase a set with one of each color (multi colored set)?

I do not know the answer but beware, the color will literally peel off if the glasses if put in dishwasher. After one use, they were clear glass.
