CD was so scratched out of the box that my laptop won't read it.Having to watch tons of videos on Youtube and also doing google searches.So far I got my laptop to connect to the wifi board. O can see the video feed but as far as I can tell, my laptop isn't connected to the Arduino. When I try to "set the control mode", I just get an error.I will keep doing research and trying to figure this thing out. I would rather spend my time learning the software and how to modify the code. Instead, I am in an unhappy state of frustration just trying to get the thing to work.If I had to do it all over again, I would pay a little more money and get a robot with better tech support and documentation.UPDATE: I got it working with Android but still don't have the source code. Without the source code, I can't experiment and tinker with it very easily. That makes it more of an overpriced toy and less of a platform for learning and experimenting with robotics.

The kit was very easy to assemble, and comes pre-programmed to get you moving pretty quickly. The instructions aren't too difficult to follow, either, and even without them you can pretty easily assemble the entire thing by looking at the on-board motor wiring guides.The bundled software is, honestly, basic. The software to control the robot loads with a 5 second static image that is an ad every time you start it, but you also get the source code for the app on the included DVD (or at least I did) so if you are so inclined you can modify it. Just remember that once you are connected to your robot you may want to dial down the power on the motors from the default 100 before trying to drive it, otherwise it might lurch forward faster than you anticipated.All in all this kit is a cost effective little gadget that would be easy enough for younger audiences to learn some basics about robotics. If I had it all to do over again I would still purchase this kit.

I got this as a Christmas gift for my 15-year-old grandson. He spent Christmas afternoon working on it and had it nearly done by Christmas evening. He seemed to be really happy with it.

Great seller! Item came in fast. This kit is ok if you have some electrical background. We found the instructions to be worthless. The control app is functional but likes to freeze up and is about half in Chinese.

hello thare is an item I can't find it the servo wheel for the camera

Got it built fairly easily even though the documentation is lacking. The USB camera though will not stay on and so need to come up with a fix. Other minor issues to will work out like the proximity sensor. Software can be confusing. Not for a complete novice.

The robot was fun to build and works good. The software is a little confusing at first to use and download and the user group seems to be mostly in Chinese. I wish there was more resources available for customization.
