This model has stainless steel trim, The mfg. indicates that with SS in the nomenclature.

How do the grates stay in place? Do they just sit on top of glass?

They sit on top of the glass with rubber feet, and they fit over the burners so they cannot be moved out of place without lifting them up. I have had no problems with them moving or getting out of place.

Does this com with blower assembly for downdraft ?

It has a switch for multiple fan speeds so it has a fan for downdraft. The challenge is connecting to existing exhaust duct.
