so big! perfect for family outings
awesome tent! I didn't expect it to be so much more roomy than the 10 person but its really large on the interior. easily fits 2 queen air mattresses with lots of space in the middle. very easy set up and it has doors on both sides with 2 little dirt mats and awnings. love this tent!

I did it by myself!
This was my first time ever putting up a tent! It took me about 75 minutes! I have never put one up before! This was really simple & straight forward to do! Watch the videos if you get stuck. ( Iโm writing about the 12 person tent. In green/gray). Itโs nice looking! I โm a 50 something yo mom & Im 5โ4 inches tall with no previous experience. So if I can do it anyone can. You do need to have some kind of reasonable strength tho. It took me longer to get the thing out of the shipping box! Lols.. Then thereโs another box that says Core, then the zippered bag. Everything came nicely packed with foam padding to protect all the joints and points on the rods. Everything arrived in perfect condition. The tent I received has a footprint or floor that is already attached. It is not removable. All the zippers function perfectly. Just be careful on the bottom of the doors where the rain flap is so it doesnโt get caught. If youโre doing this by yourself follow the instructions to spread the tent out all the way on a flat surface. Then pull the elbows out and hold the last one as you move around to the other side to open the others. (Itโs structured something like a mini fold up umbrella . ). Each elbow kind of locks into place if youโre doing it right. When youโve got all the elbows up put the top rain shield on. Then extend & push each leg up to its full locking position. Alternate sides & anchor each point so the wind doesnโt take it. Itโs a huge tent which can fit 2 queen size beds, or a blowup sofa a queen bed and a small table & chairs. Iโll lay a patio mat down to protect the floor & make it more cozy. I love that it has lots of windows with rain flaps that roll down & bottom air vents for cooler air to come in. BUt whatโs awesome is that it has a door on each side. A double door & a single door. This tent will be a great addition to our 27 ft airstream & will serve its purpose for a hangout space with the teens & our two 75 lb dogs without getting eaten up by mosquitos. Great job Core! I love it!

Great tent for families and large groups!
First of, It is SUPER easy to set up, take down was also very easy. spreading it out was a little challenging. It is great in the rain, seams are super waterproof. design is just perfect. the room dividers add a whole new level of privacy. Pretty heavy, but that is the trade off for cabin tents. nice and durable, not super warm, but that can be fixed with sleeping bags or heater. Overall a great tent for anyone.

Best tent I've ever bought
I bought this tent before we went on a camping vacation to Rapid City. The size of the tent is fantastic...there were four of us so we each had our own "end" of the tent since it can be divided into 3 sections with the partitions. We had a queen camp bed on one side and a queen inflatable mattress on the other side which left the center area open for storing supplies/totes, changing clothes, sitting in chairs, etc. The tent is tall enough to stand in comfortably and there are zip doors on both sides which is nice. We used a tarp underneath the tent to prevent any tears to the bottom and it also prevented moisture buildup under the tent so we could pack it up without concerns of getting the whole tent wet or molding. It was VERY easy to put up. You could probably do it with one person, if you had to, but it was very easy with two people. The tent poles extend and lock into place so a short person like me had no trouble. It is a large tent so it is heavy when it is in the bag but I could carry it by myself, with some effort. We usually have trouble stuffing our cheap tents back into their bags but this tent folds up easily and fit in the bag without hassle. We didn't have any rain so I can't comment on the weather proofing but we always use a rain repellent spray on the seams of our tents regardless. The tent seems to be well made...stitching looks well done. I think it will last a long time, with good care. I am very happy with this purchase!! We love having a big tent where we can bring chairs in to hang out if the weather is bad and we aren't all tripping over each other inside. Very roomy for 4 people.

Buy The Twelve Person - Close In Price and Just As Easy To Pitch!
The best yet in every way. The 12 person is big, but it is just as easy to set up, and you will appreciate the extra space! We have been using these "instant tents" since they first came out about 20 years ago, and they are real game changers. Coleman had one, and then they upgraded it to a slightly better one. We used them both, but this CORE 12 person model is so much lighter, very stable through all kinds of weather, easy to erect ..... we are pleased in every way. I am 71 years old and i set it up by myself quite easily. Unlike the Colemans, it never leaks in one little drop. (My only request would be some kind of easy flappable velcroed door, but the current zipper design works just fine.)

Nifty tent!
It's hard to justify such a large tent for only the two of us when the children and grandchildren are not visiting, but we keep buying larger and larger tents, wanting more and more room to move around. I think we have now topped out. We got it only a week ago and used it for a 3-day camping trip at an Oregon mountain lake. No rain or wind, so can't speak to water resistance or durability in wind. Plenty of room for a queen sized bed, and with mosquitos in the evening, we moved chairs and table inside. With no rain, we did not use the rainfly and watching stars through the roof was amazing. We had watched videos ahead of time, so understood how to put it up and take it down. It's an origami design with all poles attached. It only took at few minutes to set it up. Taking it down was a bit longer due to rolling the air out, but it fit easily back in its bag. Be sure to leave doors and windows unzipped at least a bit to ensure getting the air out. AUGUST 2025: I'm adding to my previous review, having now used the tent many times. So easy to put up and down. Very cleverly designed. We recently used it for my daughter, her husband and three kids. Queen-sized mattress, three mats, and plenty of room to walk around. My one word of advice is USE A GROUND CLOTH! Since this origami tent folds up like bat wings, there is no simple way to clean off the bottom. I now put down a large tarp and pitch the tent on top. Works perfectly. No mud or dirt tracked home.

Great tent, surprised at how awesome it is
This tent has been amazing for our family of four camping trips. There is plenty of room for all of us, our air mattress' and all the additional stuff that comes with us. One side took a queen air mattress and the other side fit two twin mattress'. We have camped with this twice and both times it has rained, a lot! The first time was close to 3" of rain in one night with thunderstorms and no leaks. The second time we had almost 4" of rain and no leaks. The tent was dirty and wet, but the easy set up made it easy to re-set up at home and dry out quickly. My only gripe is with the floor, it is so noisy! I have never had a tent large enough to walk around in so I don't know if this is normal for most tents. But I have purchased a rug for the next time we camp to place in the middle area to reduce the crinkle noise when it is walked upon. This tent is amazing. Super easy to set up and take down. It fits back into the bag without precise folding and has extra room in the bag to put the bottom tarp too.

Nice large tent but it quite heavy and bulky
I previously had a old Coleman 12-person tent for my family of 4. We just love the space of a big tent. After 14 years of use, I decided it was time to get a new family tent. My old tent took some time to setup and require at least 3 persons (for a easier setup) so I bought the Core for the "instant" capability. When the tent arrived, I was shocked about the size and weight of the packed tent. It was easily six times the size and weight of my old tent (in the bag). If you have a small trunk, this tent will not work for you. I have a mid-size SUV and had to fold down one seat of the second row to fit the tent. The size of the packed tent is comparable to a 10x10 canopy. I'm deducting one star for the size (when packed). I have to say that setup of the tent is supper fast. It took around 5 minutes for my two teenagers and I to setup the tent. Across our site, a family arrive at the same time than us and they have one of those fancy trailers with a roof tent and I would say, we finished the tent setup at the same time. The tent is huge which is nice (larger than my old tent). The weather was nice I didn't put the rainfly, so no feedback on that. It has plenty of windows and two doors which very convenient. I think the space you get makes the bulkiness worth. I would be tented to give 4 starts but the problem is to put the tent back in the bag. I know that most camping gear (tents, sleeping bags, hammocks, etc.) they are all tricky to put back in the bag, but this tent is extremely complicated. You need to bend all the poles and align them and then try to fold all the fabric into a rectangular prism. It feels that if you are not careful, it will be very easy to break one of the poles. I have only used it once and I hope, it will last but many years but I just concerned that one of the poles will broke, not while camping but when packing the tent back to the bag. It is a great tent but the size, weight and hassle of packing the tent made me remove two stars.
